The elegant William Saroyan Theater is housed within the Fresno Convention and Entertainment Center, and offers some of the best facilities for live performances. It hosts plays, concerts, dance recitals, and conventions, and seats 2,353 people. It is also the home of the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra and the Fresno Ballet, and has hosted several Broadway shows.
This center has an eclectic blend of Moorish, Spanish, and Italian Renaissance Revival elements and one of the significant features of the theater is its unique pipe organ which was built by the Robert Morton Organ Company of Van Nuys, California, in 1929, and which has fourteen ranks and 1,035 pipes.
