Present since 1874, and comprising of 111 contributing properties, the Laurens Historic District is located in Laurens, South Carolina. It is an atypically intact collection of constructions and structures from the 19th Century and the early 20th Century. Colonial Revival, Gothic Revival, Romanesque Revival, Queen Anne and Greek revival are some of the many architectural patterns followed in the structuring of the district. The district is well preserved with large trees, granite retaining walls, and well-maintained yards. The Laurens County Courthouse Square, Old Methodist Church and the Public Square are popular attractions in the district that add up to its growing significance over the years.
The distinguished First Presbyterian Church of Woodruff is a monumental Presbyterian church structure. It is accurately sited at 300 W. Georgia Street in Woodruff, South Carolina. The historic church building was erected in 1911 and is established on a land cover of less than one acre. It is a great representation of the Gothic Revival and the Romanesque style of architecture. The significant church site is also featured on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Corinth Baptist Church is a historic church located on North Herndon Street in Union, South Carolina. It has a Late Gothic Revival style of architecture and its belfry and spire makes it an iconic landmark on the cityscape. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 20, 1989.
