Explore Chincoteague's heritage while at this museum which depicts the story of island history, as well as the history of the oystering and seafood business which was the major industry of the island. The museum includes an oystering diorama, an aquarium, changing exhibits, a library, and a museum store.
Over 8,000 square feet of Atlantic flyway waterfowling history are beautifully displayed at this museum which also features displays on antique boats, guns, traps, art, and decoys by various craftsmen, as well as a restored hunting buggy and a replica carver's shop.
The only Afican-American one-room school in Worcester County.
