At the same time, however, the loss of the artistic process threatens to hamper our ability to provide esthetic and functional restorative options that support the physical and financial needs of patients. By having an understanding of the latest material options and technologies, and having a clear diagnostic communication process, technicians can maintain our role in helping our dental partners to achieve successful patient outcomes. »Blue Planet

February 27, 2015 7:30 PM

Picture living on an all-kid planet. Could anything be more wild and free? That's the kind of utopia in which "Blue Planet" unfolds. Based on a children's book by one of Iceland's most celebrated young writers, this adventure -- equal parts "Peter Pan" and the myth of Icarus, with an eco-conscious spin -- follows best friends Hulda and Brimir. As you could easily guess about a planet where no one's faced the trials of puberty, or the tribulations of adulthood, their lives are simple but ideal. That is, until they encounter their first grown-up, the mysterious Jolly-Goodday, who makes the kids an offer they can't resist: the promise of a life filled with joy and non-stop fun. Find out what they're willing to trade for such a reward when "Blue Planet" has its U.S. premiere at Chicago's Akavit Theatre.

»Big Head Todd And The Monsters

February 27, 2015 7:00 PM

Big Head Todd & The Monsters play a characteristic form of heady jam rock that was pervasive throughout the Rocky Mountain region in the 90s. The group was formed in Boulder, Colorado in 1986 and after gigging around its home turf during its formative years, The Monsters took their show on the road and delivered the goods to a wide swath of America. The band has been at it for several years now and is considered a road-worn and ready-made touring outfit that can rock as hard as it ever has and comprise spontaneous instrumental jams at the flick of a switch.
