The towering spires of the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception add a bit of history to Denver's skyline. Completed in the year 1911 CE, the cathedral still brings together faithful for Sunday service accommodating a total of 800 people. John Paul II held mass here on the 13th and 14th of August, 1993 to celebrate World Youth Day and a statue of His Holiness on the cathedral's ground commemorates the late Pope's visit to the city. The French Gothic style of the church's architecture along with the stained glass windows makes it a worthy addition to any itinerary.
