Built in 1766, the John Harris Simon Cameron Mansion, offers a peek into the history of Dauphin County. This mansion has been nominated as a National Historic Landmark in 194, and attracts several tourists throughout the year. The mansion comprises a huge hall, a dining room, the solarium, a hallway and first floor stair. The headquarters of the Historic Society of Dauphin County are situated here and takes numerous initiatives to promote this mansion. The upper floor of this mansion can be rented for holding formal and informal events and can accommodate about 150 people.
