This 60 acre preserve is the site of 19th century clay mining. It contains a variety of unique habitats, such as wetlands, ponds, sand barrens, spring-fed streams and woodlands.
The Kreischer House on Charleston, Staten Island has an interesting story behind it. The historic home, was constructed by German brick-maker Balthasar Kreischer in 1885. This two-storied Late Victorian style mansion is quite irregularly shaped with chimneys and turret protruding from the main structure. The 14 room mansion was converted into a restaurant in 1996. However, it is more well known for being the scene of many tragic killings and is supposedly haunted.
Climax Brewing Company is a must-visit for beer aficionados in Woodbridge. The dream of its beer-loving owners, this company is one of the oldest microbreweries in town. All the brews on offer are created using home recipes and the finest ingredients. Take a tour of the brewery for a glimpse of the manufacturing process, and stay on on a Friday night to sample the craft beer selection.
Punctuating the southern landscape of Roosevelt Park is a spectacular masterpiece called Light Dispelling Darkness. This work of art by ceramic artist, Waylande Gregory was created in 1937. Sculpted from terracotta, the fountain features intricately-carved figures and objects like horses, artists and local factory workers. It is the representation of the artist's definition of a world reigned by education and a scientific temper, and the defeat of social evils and natural calamities. Ponder at this spot for your own interpretation.
The Westfield Fire Headquarters is a distinguished site and carries immense significance. The site was constructed in 1911, and is included in the National Register of Historic Places. It occupies great monumental value, and more so due to the fact that it stands as one of the oldest service institutions in the town.

The First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth was built in 1783. The ancient church site encompasses 3.5 acres (1.4 hectares) of land area. Primly located at Elizabeth in Union County, New Jersey, it occupies great historic importance.
