    »Meadow Brook Hall

    Meadow Brook is the historic home built by one of the automotive aristocracy's most remarkable women, Matilda Dodge Wilson. Constructed between 1926 and 1929, Meadow Brook represents one of the finest examples of Tudor-revival architecture in America. The home has 39 chimneys and is elaborately crafted with hand-carved wood, ceramic art tile, moulded ceilings and ornate fixtures. In the Hall is an extensive collection of lavish paintings, sculptures, furniture and other art objects. Meadow Brook Hall is a cultural center, offering guided tours and special exhibitions, as well as serving as a unique setting for weddings, corporate gatherings, and parties.

    »The Pioneer Museum

    The original settlers of Oakland County did not know about mass production yet, so the artifacts found at the Pioneer Museum are authentic and hand-made.     »Saarinen House

    Once the former residence and masterpiece of the Finnish architect, Eliel Saarinen and his wife Loja, this stunning home is now open to the public for tours. Completed in the fall of 1930, the Saarinen House cost over USD140,000 to build, compared to the average USD6,000 of the time in Detroit. This brick and stone home features gorgeous textiles done by Loja herself, original artwork by their daughter and beautiful landscaping. Visitors can partake in guided tours from May through October.
