Spread over 161 acres (65 hectares) of land, the Etna Furnace is a historic structure that is developed around the iron structure. The Mount Etna Iron Works was a numerous charcoal iron producer in this region. During the antebellum years this region was a leading producer of Iron. Comprising of several stone constructions of blast furnace the area also covered a number of companies and houses that were related to the iron plantation.
