Nockamixon State Park is a popular destination among locals and tourists alike. Spread across 5,286 acres (2,139.17 hectares), this parkland is a haven for wildlife and nature enthusiasts as well as those who love the outdoors. It features picnic spots, a swimming pool, loop trails, hiking trails, bicycle trails, disc golfing, a fishing pond, cabins and a hostel. Enjoy water activities like boating, windsurfing, kayaking, motorboating, whitewater rafting and fishing at the 1,450 acres (586.79 hectares) Lake Nockamixon. This state park opened in 1973, even offers hunting zones in nearly half of its property. Horseback riding, mountain biking and winter sports such as ice fishing, skating, sledding and cross-country skiing are included in the offing. They also have educational programs for schools. Riverview Country Club offers an upscale Jim Blaukovitch-designed 18-hole championship golf course along the Delaware River. The course includes 76 bunkers, bent grass fairways, four sets of tees, and five ponds. Home of the annual Hawley Quier Memorial, Moselem Springs Golf Club's fairways, including the greens and tees, are a Rye-Poa blend. A six-acre practice facility, 11 guest rooms, one guest suite, a clubhouse, and a full-service bar in the pub are available to members.
