Clay Pit is a stylish, contemporary Indian restaurant. In 2001, Bon Appetit awarded it one of America's Best Indian Restaurants. Also, it takes home many regional awards for best Indian restaurant and various other titles. The menu is a blend of traditional Indian dishes, like saag paneer, which is a spinach and mustard leaf curry, as well new and inventive creations like curried mussels. Mussels are simmered in a garlic, red wine curry to create this flavorful, velvety dish. Clay Pit offers a popular lunchtime buffet. The restaurant provides great service and is ideal for sharing dishes.
A unique twist to the all you care to eat concept, this one revolves solely around meat. Beef, chicken and pork piled on skewers are grilled over an open fire and served fresh to your table. Waiters dressed as Brazilian cowboys rush back and forth between table and kitchen in a frantic, yet friendly pace. The hurried atmosphere seems to lose its anxiety once you are seated. Fogo de Chao is not child friendly. However, there is no child size portioned meal, and the roaming waiters carrying skewers could be hazardous for small, squirmy diners. There is only one option on the menu, which includes salad bar. The main course is as much as you care to eat of roasted meat, cut in front of you while still sizzling.

One of the best burger joints in Dallas has to be Snuffers. Famous for its cheese fries and burgers this place has it all. The food is typical American...burgers, fries, chicken fingers, etc. There's never a wait on a table, no matter when you go. It has many TVs if you want to watch a game, but it doesn't get too loud. It's great for guys, girls, or families. The burger toppings are fresh and tasty, a favorite being the thinly shredded lettuce to add a little greenery. The appetizers are amazing but you have to try their burgers if you go. And if you have a monster appetite eat it with some cheese fries. You will not be disappointed.
Jaxx Steakhouse goes beyond delicious steaks. This upscale restaurant also serves delectable pastas and a variety of seafood dishes. If you are looking for a light meal, then try out the Wilted Spinach Salad or ask for the Soup of the Day. The Daily Steak Special is always a surprise and has some great flavoring. The Pan seared Tilapia and the Baked Ziti are also frequent orders.
