Watch knights on horseback re-enact an 11th century tournament complete with jousting matches and sword fights while feasting on a four-course banquet at the castle of King Alfonso the Magnificent. The Prairie Brass Band is a not-for-profit performing arts organization that is dedicated to the growth of the brass band movement in the Chicago area and throughout North America. PBB's 35 volunteer members travel from all over Chicago and its suburbs to attend rehearsals and performances. PBB performs about ten concerts per year in the Chicago area.
Arlington International Race Course is one of the best race courses in the world. Millions of people come every August to watch the Arlington Million Race, which has recently become a part of World Series Racing Championship. It is an ideal place for a family outing as the premises are resplendent with diverse hues. There is also a Kids Junior Jockey Club for the younger ones. Call in advance for tickets.
