The Prairie Brass Band is a not-for-profit performing arts organization that is dedicated to the growth of the brass band movement in the Chicago area and throughout North America. PBB's 35 volunteer members travel from all over Chicago and its suburbs to attend rehearsals and performances. PBB performs about ten concerts per year in the Chicago area.
Arlington International Race Course is one of the best race courses in the world. Millions of people come every August to watch the Arlington Million Race, which has recently become a part of World Series Racing Championship. It is an ideal place for a family outing as the premises are resplendent with diverse hues. There is also a Kids Junior Jockey Club for the younger ones. Call in advance for tickets.
Founded more than 80 years ago, this horse race track outside of Chicago offers something special for everybody. Every day of the season you can enjoy the live racing, listen to some good live music and indulge with great food specials. For those with little ones, Arlington park is also very family friendly. Bring your own food and drinks and spend a fun afternoon with the kids. Every Sunday is Family Day with special themes each week, petting zoo and pony rides. The independent Northern League professional baseball league features 12 teams including the Schaumburg Flyers. Games are played from May to September. Several post-game fireworks shows, as well as other special events are offered.
Located in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago, this baseball field is home to the Schaumburg Flyers from the Northern League. There is also a restaurant that has a view of the playing field from every table. Opening hours vary according to the events.
Founded in 1957, Knights of Columbus is located close to the recreational park in Arlington Heights. The venue is used for both business as well as social meetings. You can rent the hall for corporate meetings, weddings, theater, arts, musicals etc. The hall is wheelchair accessible and has a full service bar to cater to clients' requirements for any occasion.
