Butler Stadium is a 8000-seater facility popular for hosting soccer and baseball games. It also includes a family skating rink that is a great place for parents and kids to enjoy some bonding time! Most of the Houston High School games especially baseball, are played here but you can also catch some famous Texan and national teams live in action. Tickets for the sports events are moderately priced. Butler Stadium serves as a great sports venue, where you can mingle with fellow die-hards.

This museum and bookshop is dedicated to the accomplishments of the African-American community and their cultural contributions to American heritage and history. Located on Martin Luther King Boulevard near The Shrine of the Black Madonna Church, the museum offers an educational experience that would make Mr. King extremely proud.

Glenbrook Golf Course, both challenging and very narrow, is tailored for precision shots. The greens are small to medium sized, making the shot game very key. Traversing the entire course is a 180-yard ravine that players must cross six times in a round. Players are introduced to this ravine on the very first hole. The course is open year round and tee times are available as well as rental carts.

This popular stadium is located on the premises of the University of Houston. It has a total seating capacity of 32,000. It was home to the Houston Oilers from 1960 to 1964, and presently hosts the Houston Cougars football team. The exact location of the stadium is at the intersection of Texas Highway 35 and Interstate 45. Metered parking is available.
The Rice Stadium is a world famous stadium located within the Rice University at Houston. This massive stadium can seat upto 80,000 spectators and usually draws capacity crowds when the home team, Rice Owls play their football matches. Also used as a concert venue, the Rice Stadium is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that makes watching a game or a concert here an absolute pleasure. Legendary bands such as Pink Floyd, Eagles and Elton John have performed live here. The famous John F. Kennedy speech regarding the 'American Moon Expedition Plans' also took place here.
Located in Rice University campus, Jess Hess Tennis Stadium was built in 1970 and pays homage to one of its major donors, Jess Hess. Apart from being the home court for the Rice Owls, the stadium is also a venue for many tennis tournaments like 1986 U.S. Olympic Festival and many local and national level championships. The stadium comfortably accommodates 1400 spectators and has a large scoreboard, team lounge and a coach office.
The Children's Museum of Houston opened in 1984 and is devoted to teaching through interactive play. Galleries cover history, culture, fine and performing arts, technology, science, and geography. The Health and Physical Education Arena or the H & PE Arena, as it is popularly known, is a huge sports facility located within the campus of the Texas Southern University. Home to all the live action of the men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams of the institution, the Arena houses 8100 in seating capacity. It has been witness to some of the most nail-biting contests among University Championships. Its size makes it ideal for other events like concerts as well. The Arena also includes a conference center that can be used for meetings and conferences. The Arena is available for rental.
Gus Wortham Golf Course challenges players on a 6,270-yard, par 72 course. The relatively wide-open eighteen-hole course leaves ample room for players to bail out of shots. Long hitting players may utilize the driver to reach the short par fives in two shots, leaving many opportunities for eagles or birdies. The course is well kept and is open year round. Straight as well as contoured fairways, with occasional sand traps and water hazards, make this course enjoyable and challenging for any level golfer.
