Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park is a 150 acre park with two lakes. Children and adults can enjoy water slides while swimming in one lake. In the other lake with a fishing permit you can fish with trout, catfish and bass. There are also Pedal boats and aqua cycle rentals. On the land there is a playground, volleyball courts and picnic tables. The park can only be used during the day and there is a small fee for entrance.
John Galvin Park is the place to go for baseball. The park has the Jay Littleton Ball Park, which is a baseball field where 2,500 people can watch a game. If you want to play a different sport, the park has basketball, tennis, volleyball and a Little League Baseball field. For lunch there are picnic tables and a barbecue area, and you can find plenty of parking.
The Bon View Park is a local park where you can cool off at the neighborhood pool. If you want to play sports there is a basketball court, softball field and a horseshoe court. Local sporting events also occur in the Community Center and a small gymnasium. There is a parking lot with 77 spaces.
Ontario's City Hall is located downtown close to Ontario Main Library. The City Hall's building is not very attractive, but the landscape is beautiful and you can spend an afternoon relaxing on the grass. The City Hall has a lot of department and services.
Since 1894 the Graber family has been growing, harvesting, and selling world-class olives. Come view the olives in their native habitat - with tours offered all day, every day (call ahead to make reservations). The Graber Olive House is busy all year, but visitors will see the most activity from mid-October to December when the olives are harvested. Along with observing how olives are grown, guests can browse a small museum onsite, buy tasty treats at the gift shop, or grab a bite to eat and have a picnic lunch on the scenic grounds.
The De Anza Teen Center offers classes and events for 12-18 year olds, including sports (dodge ball, soccer, basketball, and more) and arts (painting, theater, and music classes). The center also gives teens a fun place to hang out and socialize with Friday night movies, karaoke, and games. Most of the programs are free, with a few of the dances charging a very small fee.
Children acting like barbarians again? Bring them to Scandia Amusement Park and let their imaginations run wild. With 16 rides, two miniature golf courses, batting cages, an arcade, and two restaurants, children, teens, and adults will find plenty to keep them busy. Scandia Amusement Park offers special group rates for business functions, birthday parties, or even grad nights. The park also hosts holiday events (like an annual haunted house).
For a relaxing day head to Galleano Winery where you can tour their winery and enjoy a wine tasting. The Galleano Winery has been in the family for five generations and is still family owned. The wine has won several awards, including gold at the 2007 Jerry Mead New World International Wine Competition. Call for an appointment to tour the winery.
Dale Bros Brewery is the brainchild of Curt and Andy Dale. This craft brewery and tap room is a nice spot to take a sip of their acclaimed brews. While the tour is only on Saturdays at 4p and is free of charge, the tasting room is open from Tuesdays to Sundays at 12p to 9p. During weekends, you will find food trucks to curb your hunger pangs.
The Planes of Fame Air Museum was started in 1957 by Edward Maloney, a collector of WWII aircrafts. Ever since, the museum has been collecting these historic machines, some of which are the only remaining ones of their kind. The museum features the largest collection of Japanese aircrafts in the world. Being a living history museum, these aircrafts still get used today, so check out the schedule of air shows to see history in action.
The Joseph Filippi Winery has a tasting room and gift room. You can taste several different wines and a knowledgeable staff will help you find the perfect wine for you. The Winery has has over 200 awards. There are guided Winery Tours on Wednesday through Sunday at 1:00pm.
The celebrated Scripps College is a liberal arts college for women. It was established and opened in 1926. The college site is located in the Claremont city in California. It is presently a member of the Claremont Colleges. The private college is swanked by a proficient faculty of researchers, learned and skilled individuals who strive towards the academic excellence of students. It organizes varied events through the working of its students clubs and also trains them for athletics. The school site remains listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
